Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of CollectVault(the “Service”), a web application for cataloging, valuing, and tracking comic book and trading-card collections. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. Accounts
You must provide accurate information and are responsible for all activity under your account. Authentication is handled by our provider (Clerk); keep your login credentials secure and notify us of any unauthorized use. You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service.
2. Subscriptions, billing & cancellation
The Service offers a free tier and paid plans (Collector Pro, Investor Pro, and Dealer). Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis through our payment processor, Stripe, and renew automaticallyat the then-current price until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from Settings → Billing or the Stripe customer portal; your plan remains active through the end of the period you've already paid for, and you will not be charged again after that. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. We may change prices or plan features with reasonable advance notice; changes take effect on your next renewal.
3. Valuations are estimates, not advice
All values, grades, price histories, alerts, arbitrage signals, and market data in the Service are estimates for informational purposes only. They are generated from third-party catalog and marketplace data and automated tooling, are not guaranteed to be accurate, and are not professional appraisals, grading, or financial, investment, or tax advice. AI scan results (including identification and grade estimates) can be wrong — verify before relying on them. You are solely responsible for your buying, selling, insurance, and tax decisions.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of the collection data, photos, and notes you add. You grant CollectVaulta limited license to store and process that content solely to operate the Service for you. Don't upload content you don't have the right to use.
5. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the Service: no scraping, automated bulk access beyond normal use, reverse engineering, attempts to disrupt or overload the Service, or use that violates law or the terms of our data providers (including eBay and catalog sources).
6. Third-party services
The Service integrates third parties including Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting/storage), and catalog/marketplace and AI providers used for search, covers, valuations, listings, and scanning. Your use of those features is also subject to those providers' terms.
7. Disclaimers & liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CollectVault is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for losses arising from reliance on valuations or data, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
8. Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account anytime. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
