Install CollectVault

Put it on your home screen so it opens like a native app — full screen, faster, native camera for the scanner.

iPhone & iPad (Safari)

Takes ~15 seconds. Must be Safari — Chrome on iOS can't install web apps.

Open this site in Safari
If you're reading this in another browser (Chrome, Firefox, etc.), copy the URL and paste it into Safari first. Apple only lets Safari install apps.

Tap the Share button
The Share button is the square with an upward arrow at the bottom-centerof Safari. If you don't see it, tap the address bar once — it appears at the bottom.

Scroll down and tap “Add to Home Screen”
The menu has a long list of options. Scroll a bit and look for Add to Home Screen with a icon.

Tap “Add”
You can rename it first if you want — the default is “CollectVault”. Tap Add in the top-right corner.

Open it from your home screen
The CollectVault icon now lives on your home screen like any other app. Tap it any time and you'll get the full-screen version with native camera access for the scanner.

Note: if the top of the app appears under the iPhone status bar (clock, battery overlap the menu), close the app fully and reopen it — iOS sometimes caches an older layout the first time. Subsequent opens are fine.

Android (Chrome / Edge)

Takes ~10 seconds. Works in Chrome, Edge, Samsung Internet, Firefox.

Look for the install banner first
On most Android browsers a small “Install CollectVault” bubble appears in the address bar or as a banner. Tapping it does everything below in one step. If you see it, just tap it.

Otherwise: tap thethree-dot menu
Top-right corner of Chrome / Edge. Samsung Internet uses three horizontal lines in the bottom right.

Tap “Install app” or “Add to Home screen”
Different browsers word this slightly differently:
- Chrome:“Install app” or “Add to Home screen”
- Edge:“Apps” → “Install this site as an app”
- Samsung Internet:“Add page to” → “Home screen”
- Firefox:menu → “Install”

Confirm
A dialog confirms the install. Tap Install or Add.

Find it in your app drawer or home screen
Some Androids drop the icon on the home screen automatically; others put it in the app drawer first. Long-press to drag it wherever you want.

Desktop (Chrome / Edge)

Bonus: works on Mac, Windows, Linux.

Look for the install icon in the address bar
Chrome and Edge show a small icon at the right end of the address bar when a site is installable. Click it.

Or use the menu
Three-dot menu → Install CollectVault (Chrome) or Apps → Install this site as an app (Edge).

Pin it to your taskbar / dock
The app opens in its own window with no browser chrome. Right- click the dock/taskbar icon and pin it for one-click access.

Why install instead of just using the website?

Full screen — no browser bar eating space; the scanner has more room to frame your covers.
Native camera UI on iOS — tap to scan and the system camera opens immediately, instead of a file picker.
Stays signed in— open the app the next morning and you're where you left off; no re-login.
Faster — the shell is cached, so launching from the home screen is near-instant.
